Spirit and Spiritual
A man shall be witty, says my wife. But unfortunately her husband is not. In a successful family life, this quality might be an added spice. I tried to imbibe this quality by observing from many others. I memorized many jokes and ultimately ended up in disastrous situations. But without accepting failure, I tried continuously to improve upon and impress upon and that effort Still goes on and on.
In my scan, I noticed my colleague and admired his amazing ability to generate spontaneous witty replies and its fluent delivery. I remember after he recovered from his open heart surgery and were traveling together to Salem for an audit.Those days Open heart surgery was never considered as the first alternative rather resorted to as the the last solution. Risk factor was 0.5. The risk involved can be explained more clearly through the statement of a famous surgeon." After the surgery is over and when I wait for the heart to restart pumping in the theater, my heart almost comes to a halt."
But my friend , though he is a short man as far as height is considered but definitely much taller and bolder than many others. When he was informed that he had to undergo an open heart surgery, he kept his cool and asked for a favor which no patient has ever asked the doctor.
" Doctor can you do a favor to me ? ", he asked the doctor. Like the last wish of a convict before his execution, all requests are seriously taken at this point. "What do you want ? ", Doctor asked. He then said " When you open my heart, you will see many sweet hearts ( All my secret girl friends) inside and please do not get distracted with it during surgery and do not remove it`` Doctor could not control his laugh but he got a shock of his life. The same doctor later admitted to him that 'he has never seen a patient like him'.
When he constructed his house, he took special care to ensure that "S" & " S " room was constructed according to his design. " Spirit "and "Spiritual "rooms were side by side. God would have been so happy that that he did not do anything wrong by blessing him with witty nature. He kept GoD as his watchman to ensure that he is not in bad spirits.
I thank him today for all the "santhosham" he has given me freely and thank GOD for giving an opportunity to work with him. Many days late in the nights, my solitary laughs with mobile in hand became a regular sight for my wife. Initially It was of concern to her, but now she knows the reason.
Scholars say " GOD has given the ability to smile and laugh only for human beings." I would like to add that " Although all can smile, all have not been given the power to make others laugh. On the contrary , all have the ability to make others cry, if they wish. By any means if you can make other to smile or laugh it is truly divine. That is the Truth
