The Sword

I feel, there are various occasions where Jesus uses figurative approach to illustrate the inner meanings. The sword meant by Jesus is misunderstood by his disciples; that is why Jesus drops the subject immediately, when the disciples bring two swords physically.   When the disciples say ‘we have two swords with us’ . The sword meant by Jesus is the same sword  Jesus  mentions in Mathew 10:35, He says “ Do not Imagine that I came to bring peace to earth No, rather a sword.” This Sword is nothing but the Word of God. The Sword  which will divide the men into righteous and unrighteous. This is what he symbolically told them to carry with the. The word  is so powerful  like a double edged sword. It pierce your soul at any time and  can kill the sinful character
